BLT Burger

Chef Laurent Tourondel has done it again, but this time in Las Vegas! His new interpretation of the classic American burger joint has made it to the Mirage Hotel. As a spin off of his original BLT Burger in New York City, that was named “Best Burger Joint 2007” in Time Out New York Magazine’s Reader’s Choice Awards, this restaurant is a great option for those looking for more than just a fast-food burger. There are no signs of fast-food here. The burgers here are cooked to perfection, use the best cuts of meat available, are served on fresh baked buns, and are customized with nearly any topping your heart desires. With a casual attitude and rock n’ roll music playing in the background, the restaurant presents itself much like your typical diner. Using a neutral color palate, red brick, golden upholstery, and wooden details you will be instantly relaxed in the laid back atmosphere, a nice change of pace from the buzzing Vegas Strip.
The burgers here are customized to your liking. With the finest cuts of meat available, you are able to choose from beef, American Kobe beef, lamb, and turkey, with vegetable patties available as well. The burgers are cooked in a circular open grill, so you can watch your burger cooked to the utmost perfection. The burgers are then topped with any cheese, sauce, or topping you can possibly imagine. They have everything from a variety of cheeses, bacon, avocado, and their, house specialty, homemade chili. With your burger make sure to try their sweet potato or waffles fries! And, what is a burger without a milkshake on the side? The milkshakes are thick and delicious! You even have the option of a “spiked” milkshake, this is Vegas after all! Other great beverages are their selection of over 20 beers on tap, their delicious cocktails, or their extensive wine list.
The widespread variety of beverages and great food, make this place a great spot to catch the big game. Flat screen TV’s plaster the walls of this burger joint, offering a 180-degree sports viewing area! Spiked milkshakes, great sports, and a juicy burger…what more could you want from a burger joint for watching your favorite team in action?

Bistro Buffet

The Bistro Buffet has been completely renovated, updated, and is now competing for the top spot among upscale buffets in town. The new Bistro Buffet at the Palms has a whole new menu of great seafood, steak, and other high priced items that you would expect to find at a steakhouse and not at your typical buffet. Live cooking and carving stations serve prime rib, brisket, and even some ethnic cuisine like sushi and Mexican entrees. They also offer crab legs, a great salad bar, chicken, fish, and other options all prepared fresh.
Their breakfast buffet is no different. They have almost any assortment of breakfast food that you could think of. French toast, pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, eggs benedict, and live omelet station where you can have your omelet cooked anyway you like. They also have a wide assortment of pastries, muffins, and other breakfast favorites like fruit, cereal, and granola. The Palms is often considered one of the best value buffets in town because their prices aren’t nearly as high as some if it’s competitors like the Bellagio or the Wynn, which are often compared to the Bistro Buffet. On the weekdays, the prices drop even lower to draw in the local crowd. However, on the weekends it’s not unlikely to see the buffet packed with a young party crowd.
